Label info: Nicolás Mirón presents Hi-Tech Thoughts, his debut release on Echo Alpha Recordings. A record that draws inspiration from Detroit Techno, as well as New York Hip-Hop and MPC culture, reflected in the way he works with samples and programs chops on his AKAI MPC 2500. His production focuses on beat-making, pursuing a raw, hardware-driven sound rather than an overproduced one. Nico’s creative foundation is rooted in Black music in all its forms, from soul and jazz to electronic sounds, while also embracing the legacy of figures like Kraftwerk, and genres such as Italo Disco, and New Wave. His musical career began with his residency at Radio Relativa in 2022, with his program “Pa’ Riparla Benne”, a connection between skateboarding and music, as well as its evolution and close relationship with contemporary culture.
Mick Wills Cuts on Arma 17 Arma Records returns with a rare treat from legendary DJ Mick Wills. Mick has been active in the seedier corners of electronic music for more than 30 years, first immersing himself in the world of hi-NRG and new wave before embracing the house, techno, acid and electro explosion of the late 1980s. Aligned with DJ Hell in the 90s and more recently the Intergalactic FM crew, he’s the quintessential selector. A life spent digging in the undergrowth for deviant dance music has given him the edge that makes a truly gifted spinner, without riding on hype or studio productions. However, Mick isn’t adverse to the odd outing on vinyl, having previously appeared on International DJ Gigolos both solo and as The Kinky Lovers with sometime partner Isabella Venis, but these moments are few and far between. For this release on Arma, Mick has given us two edits that speak to his distinctive style as a DJ – the original tracks are cult choices re-moulded into deadly, subversive club weapons. The brooding darkwave of “Himmelfahrt 89” is enough to turn the most indifferent bar crowd into swaying, baying denizens of the night, while “Stay Silent” pummels out a relentless electro motif that teeters on the edge of destruction for 11 thrilling minutes. These aren’t crowd-pleasing DJ tools, and neither are they slick and easy edits of obvious classics. This is a peek into the inner workings of a man with decades of experience working masses of flesh into a sweaty fever pitch using sounds you’ve never heard before. The mastering on Mick’s edits was undertaken by none other than Dutch electro legend Rude 66, while the striking artwork on the sleeve sees Arma reach out for the first time to French artist Judex. Dave Clarke from 1993 on Labworks. Unfortunately pretty scratched copy. Plays fine, but I would still just grade it as G+ I can throw this in for free if interested if you buy some other tunes in that direction (other cool Labworks records available ATM)

Original 4x10" vinyl box set version of this 1995 production. All on clear vinyl. Used copy. Mostly excellent condition but some pops and clicks in the more quiet parts here and there. There are some fingerprints on some labels as well as, oddly, a footprint on one of the inner sleeves. Presumably the previous owner stepped on it while spinning the record as no such damage on any of the vinyl. The box itself has some wear with the two sides lightly inward bent. Overall still a great copy.

Here we have 4 tracks from "Arach", from the studio concept "Centiped Sound System", ( a duo of composers, also including Peter Pan), which were originally released on two records ( Mars Assault 3.65b, mars assault 3.7r1) in the years 2000/2001: very sharply produced hard-tekno, very original also (the "sound of centiped" is like no other hardtechno), and yet 100% as relevant on the dancefloor today as it was at the time. Another mars assault record as good to play in a party as to listen to at home.2025 cut with Hervé at dK Mastering /Paris (cut in 33/45rpm for optimum sound quality); 300 copies limited re-press, 180g pressing; a very sober object on the outside, but translucide red within.

Repress of one of the big classics of 1993 - Koenig Cylinder's 99.9. I heard this played many times at Knowledge, Eurobeat 2000 and some free parties in that period. Now available as a top quality repress via Toolbox Paris.Label info (via Toolbox): Olver Chesler, John Selway : there are people keep going on !!! And they were there since before you were born maybe ? Musicians, electronic music, enjoying sound... Recorded at Selway studio this EP is perfect... Ninetynine dot ninetynine... Or not perfect ? A superb repress, and remastered EP, with some re-organisation of the tunes (that's voluntary to get an optimal sound on each side)...
