NEWS

NEWS: In this section you find all the new releases - whether music or print - as they come out and/or are being listed in the shop.

This can include major re-stocks as well as older titles and second hand records or books. New titles are being added on a near-daily basis.

In other words if you have the page ordered by "Newly Added" you will you see chronologically what has been added in the shop with the latest additions first. It's like walking into the store and seeing the latest arrivals first. This can be a nice starting point for browsing, but if you have more specific interests, we suggest to navigate to other starting points, for example in the vinyl section or in our bookshop.

Vito Acconci / New Humans: Disallow
Vito Acconci / New Humans: Disallow

A1. Untitled Vito Acconci / New Humans, 2007 Recorded live by [...] at Elizabeth Dee Gallery, New York, Spring 2007 An unreleased live recording of a collaborative performance by Vito Acconci and New Humans that took place within the sculpture installation "Disassociate" by artist Mika Tajima at Elizabeth Dee Gallery, New York, in Spring 2007.During this improved music performance with New Humans, Vito Acconci reads permutations of text from a set of seminal audio works he chose - recombining lines and phrases on the move against a shifting, acute and minimally deadpan sonic progression.Text include "V.D. Lives / TV Must Die" (1978), "Now Do You Believe The Dirty Dogs Are Dead" (1978), "An Idea Of Storage At A Small Gallery In Downtown Chicago" (1979), "Cry Baby!" (1977).B1. Sympathy For The Devil New Humans, 2007A song stripped leaving only the minimal register of anonymous static noise. A shadow of itself it now the resembles the crackling prelude on a vinyl record. The cue is the replacement.B2. Waiting Game New Humans, 2007The anticipatory humming drone produced by a guitar amp becomes substance. The performance of the void, a lost reference.Producing used Sunn Beta Lead head with Peavey 4x12 Cabinet and single coil American Fender Stratocaster. The sound pieces on Side B were an ongoing sound element in the "Disassociate" installation in which the performances and recordings occurred. The pieces were playing during the Vito Acconci / New Humans recording and subsequently buried by the live performance.Special thanks to Elizabeth Dee, Jenny Moore, Acconci Studio and C. “Each of us is beginning to feel the ground slip away beneath our feet. Chra: On A Fateful Morning
Chra: On A Fateful Morning

On her latest release, chra aka Christina Nemec is sketching out a psychogeographical map, that guides you to the border of the internal and external world - ‘on a fateful morning’ lets you enter a sphere where the imaginary and the subliminal cross. Evoking abstract images that transcend reality, chra installs an autarchic time-and-space-continuum of vague, nocturnal beauty. Pastose bass drones, airy ambient synths and processed audio-samples form a hypnotic stream that lets you enter an altered state of mind. By subtly intertwining musical and non musical sounds chra is weaving an intensely atmospheric, poetic tableau of emptied spaces left to our imagination. It's the pulse of arcane memories that is filling these sonic landscapes, operating deep within our subconscious. ‘on a fateful morning’ is haunting music to play in the dark - conspirative, uncanny, with a dystopian smack.NM

M.E.S.H.: Hesaitix
M.E.S.H.: Hesaitix

M.E.S.H.: Hesaitix vinyl album on Pan from 2017, still sealedFurther departing from both the cinematic abstraction of ‘Piteous Gate’ and the hectic drums of ‘Damaged Merc’, Berlin producer M.E.S.H’s new full-length, ‘Hesaitix’, is marked by its hyper-ornamented rhythms and a sense of pensive, moonlit spaces. The atmosphere has shifted; the radical deconstruction of previous releases has given way to subtler interventions, building new structures in strange territories. Shifting from the meditative to states of manic unease, Hesaitix is an unnerving injection into both the social space of club music and the interior space of digital audio fantasy. How did I become so stupid? A sound can be both formless and over-rendered, like a boneless but fleshy hand from a life drawing class. What agent could set these broken sounds in motion? A laugh behind an evil curtain. A drummer that’s cool and grotesque, a detuned siren. A brushfire under a full moon. Recorded in Berlin and Umbria, Hesaitix sees Janus resident and PAN staple M.E.S.H. firmly engaged in a kind of sonic worldbuilding, a place where the unconscious and the alien intersect. The album is mastered by Rashad Becker, featuring artwork by Michael Guidetti & James Whipple released November 10, 2017

Mr. Animal Intelligence´s new Industrial Hardcore Label “Dollar Bin Music with its great 4-tracker debut release by Unibomber, No Name Applicable, Animal Intelligence and Kybernetik is definitely a release for the fans of the “oldschool Industrial Hardcore” music thing. Packed with uncompromising sounds, kicks, samples and what not makes this release more unique than most of the current “nice sampled, nice arranged, nice screamed, nice over distorted”- template Hardcore records at the moment. All this, produced, mastered and packed onto the glorious 12” black crack with its “we want the old shit back”…or: “we´re a bunch of jerks and not able to produce something better”–message, makes this release to a must have in your record collection. Record title loosely copied of KRS ONE´s mid 90ies “Rappaz R.N. Dainja” release.Shop copy, no previous owner, a bit of storage wear, played a few times in the store

One side is technoid, the other cool industrial ambient! Limited to 80 copies only!! But still one last copy remains in our shop. It has some very minor storage wear, hence the low price. I was always wondering a bit if these tunes were as limited as we were told, but indeed it seems to be the case... which is bizarre because this (and some of the other releases on the label) are actually quite good... so pick one up while they're still cheap!
