Original pressing from 1982 in excellent condition! A high VG+ on both vinyl and sleeve!
Original pressing of the 1990 classic.Used copy that was played a lot, but still sounds fine except some pops and clicks right at the beginning of the Babylon track. So while Babylon is between G+ and VG, Helter Skelter is more like VG+. Both sides have some straight hairlines that appear from taking the record out of the sleeve. There are signs that it was DJed a lot, but still a decent copy.
Original pressing of this Test Dept. LP from 1989 in VG+.A bit of surface wear on A2, otherwise minimal, plays perfectly.
First vinyl record by BQ from 1983.Vinyl is in near perfect condition, but cover is not so nice - bent corners, a bit of ring wear and around the edges. See image. Feel free to make an offer!
Used copy - somewhere between VG and VG+. Complete with all inserts. Some signs of use on box and inserts, but still a great copy
Second hand VG+. Mostly in excellent condition, but a few clicks and pops in some of the quiet parts. Sleeve has a faint hint at ring wear, but no damage.
Maurizio Bianchi record originally published in 1983, re-issued by Backwards in 2012 in two different versions, one with a limited 7". The one we have in stock is only the LP!

BACK IN STOCKAfter nearly running out of this title, we just received some returns from a distributor and have14 copies in stock again. 16-17 return to Praxis with a triple assault of ultrasonic remixes. The Pandemic Wargames Remixes are based on backing tracks originally recorded in 1995 for a follow up to the album Gyatso which eventually materialised earlier in 2020 in the form of the Phantom Limb LP on Trost. After that Alex Buess once more gave three tracks a severe treatment for The Pandemic Wargames Remixes 12″ on Praxis, bringing sound and mix firmly into the 2020s.
In stock now: Classic 16-17 studio album produced by Kevin Martin in 1994 for first time on vinyl ! Gyatso originally appeared on Kevin Martin's Pathological label in 1994 as a CD and was rereleased, again on CD, in 2008 by Savageland. Praxis, in collaboration with Skin & Speech proudly presents the first vinyl edition of this classic album. The vinyl edition contains 6 tracks and includes the download for the full 13 track album. 16-17 started in 1983 in Basel, Switzerland. They released a number of cassettes, before debuting with their self titled and self released album in 1987. Two years later this was followed up by When All Else Fails, an LP of treated live recordings on Vision, the precursor label to Praxis. By this time 16-17 had already garnered a cult following with their incredibly forceful live performances. Gyatso is a crucial release where the raw power of 16-17’s live appearances clashes with a studio-as-instrument approach, as Kevin Martin and Alex Buess add effects and dub techniques to the band’s recordings. Further collaborations between Martin and Buess include the ICE project which also included Justin Broadrick aka J.K.Flesh of Godflesh, the other half of Techno Animal, as well as Human Distortion, released on Digital Hardcore Recordings in 1998. Buess also took part of the Sprawl project with Peter Brötzmann, William Parker, Michael Wertmüller and Stephan Wittwer which appeared on Trost Records in 1997. This vinyl release of Gyatso comes hot on the heels of two important records that came out in 2020: The album Phantom Limb on Trost, based on band recordings from 1995 and finished in the studio in 2019 by Alex Buess, and most recently the 12” The Pandemic Wargames Remixes on Praxis. The latter was a continuation of collaborations dating back to the pre-Praxis days of the Vision label, continuing with the 1999 release of Mechanophobia on Praxis as well as the more recent Vacuum Theory by Cortex and “Skin Craft” by Alex Buess and Daniel Buess. Praxis is very happy to present this release in collaboration with Skin & Speech, for the first time on vinyl and download!

"Noisezone" is a avantgarde jazz project that came to life in Basel, Switzerland. Trio of musicans: Sebastian Smolyn, harnessing a storm of sounds coming from his E-Trombone, his brother Artur, generating vast range of convulsive, electronic noise attacks and Daniel Buess, empowering both with thrilling rythms of his percussion. Those 3 personalities come together within eXplosive improvisation. Searching musical language of their own, they continue to penetrate broad areas of music itself with each performance bringing them closer to its boundaries. As the performance becomes a musical exploration ritual, everyone who dares joining it will be entirely exposed to its physical and spiritual radiation remaining in your body and soul even long afterwards. After two extensive tours through Europe and 4 Albums finally released in Europe by the end of the 90s, Oxbow, and their German label Crippled Dick Hot Wax, discussed thoughts on extending the audience for the indie noise rock giants and do something largely popular in the pop world that seemed vastly unusual, however, for a band in the alternative music world: a remix album. Those plans were even publicly stated on Singer Eugene Robinson's own TV show on German Viva TV, yet never realised. But Oxbow had already done a first step to actually make it happen. They handed their long time European sound engineer Manuel Liebeskind and producer and former label mate Alex Buess (with 16-17 on Kevin Martin's pathological label) the full Steve Albini recorded multitracks of their album Serenade in Red. Instead of just remixing an existing song, Liebeskind and Buess, now under the name of PxfXFn5, composed 2 completely new tracks. Using loops and sounds from the original Oxbow recordings, and samples from live recorded cassette tapes, they created something that still is Oxbow - and not. 2 Tracks that transport the heavy blues and noise inspired unique sound of Oxbow into electronic soundscapes and beats. They open a totally different approach to Oxbow music, and to what remix, or re-composition, could mean. In 2024 these tracks have been revisited and remastered by Alex Buess who brought the tracks to the life they deserve. While Oxbow singer Eugene S. Robinson can also be heard with Buess on 16-17's last studio album Phantom limb (Trost records, TR193), he now also is half of electronic Duo Mangene with Manuel Liebeskind, that has recently released their first album '101 Atomic Terms and what they Mean' on fellow label A tree in a Field Records.
