Our Productions

This section contains all the productions that either came out on our own labels, which are Praxis and Sub/Version, or were either co-productions, which means they were either pressed and distributed by Praxis (such as Low Res and others), or exclusively distributed (such as Cathartic Noize Experience and others). You also find the print productions from datacide and datacide_books/Molehill.

Distributors, record and book shops, online shops etc. please get in touch for a distro login!

All titles are also listed in their respective sections (e.g. Vinyl/Breakcore).

Praxis Anonymous Series Volume Two
Praxis Anonymous Series Volume Two

LAST COPY - has been played a couple of times in the store The long awaited sequel to Volume One (Praxis 44) 4 tracks of different shades of breakcore, from ruff and slamming to cut up and atmospheric, limited to 300 12" vinyl copies in total, only 200 of which will go into normal distribution (the rest is for the artists and the praxis shop respectively). This is the second in a trilogy designed to challenge assumptions about artists and the "star system" and focus on the excitement of the music instead. After the heavy and momentous "Vacuum Theory" by Cortex (ex-16-17) released in the spring, this is the second vinyl 12" on Praxis this year, and a lot of other releases are in the pipeline.

Datacide Eleven (2022 reprint)
Datacide Eleven (2022 reprint)

Now available again: Datacide Eleven, originally from 2011. datacide eleven originally appeared in February 2011, a little bit over two years after the predecessor issue which had been published in October 2008 and had been accompanied with a conference in Berlin. Issue eleven contains some of the papers presented at the 2008 conference (those of John Eden, Stewart Home and Alexis Wolton) as well as then-new material. Between the two issues was the launch of a new datacide web site (then part of the c8 orbit, now to be found at https://datacide-magazine.com) and a number of other activities, largely event-based, both musical and in the form of talks, sometimes as a combination of the two. datacide eleven itself was launched with a number of talks taking place over two days at Cagliostro, the bar and meeting point at Ostkreuz - then also the location of the Praxis store - and a party taking place at Subversiv with Kovert, Baseck, DJ Balli, Cannibal Brothers, Nemeton, LT and Christoph Fringeli. For this 2022 reprint the issue was carefully re-edited which chiefly concerned formatting issues. None of the content has been altered besides obvious typos and mistakes, but the layout had to be adjusted to the bound rather than stapled finish, and to take advantage of the colour (inside) cover and to give a bit more space to some articles a total of four pages were added. A new back page image was provided by Luke Hekate.

Nomex: Paroxism EP
Nomex: Paroxism EP

PRE-SALE of Praxis 60 - Nomex: Paroxism EP. important: special early bird price only till the end of June 2024!! Noise artist and film maker Paul Kidd aka Nomex was behind some iconic experimental releases of the 90s, mainly on his own Adverse label, exploring the nature of physical nature of noise and vinyl, his preferred medium. Several of his records explored and articulated this interaction, such as Adverse 1 (A Moment in Eternity/Language of Dissatisfaction) - a needle playing the label, Desiring E.P.2 (Adverse 3) - a drill used as turntable, and Are You Anything More Than Just A Product of Your Influence? (Adverse 12) - dual parallel groove cut on 16rpm and 78rpm. Other works veer into sound collage and beat destruction, such as The Bruitist Shaper, and Trocante Gramofony E.P. He also experimented with extreme noise frequencies at live gigs, some of which were documented on a series of CDRs on Adverse in 1997 (all of these have now been uploaded to our YouTube channel).  Important to mention are also his collaborations with DJ Scud with the two classic 7"s Eurostar/Piling Machine and Total Destruction on the Maschinenbau label, both re-released by Praxis on one 12" in 2018. Ever since his 1999 release Trocante Gramofony EP (Praxis 33), there had been talk about doing a follow up and around 2010-2011 Nomex indeed worked on an album for Praxis, the material for which was finished, but not compiled at the time of his death in 2014. We compiled it as close as possible to what we think his intentions would have been and as to be expected it's a killer noise album! The record will be pressed in a limited and numbered edition with a hand stamped label and sleeve as well as a 30x30cm cover graphic/poster inlay and postcard in an edition of 100-150 copies. Finer details of this may yet change/vary as we're figuring out the production cost and details. The image depicts the 30x30cm print insert. Details might slightly vary. A download code for digital tracks will be included. We're looking at an August 1st 2024 release, more details will be posted as we move forward with this and other projects. Available for pre-order now at a reduced price of 15 euro for a limited number of orders and only until the end of May 2024. RRP will be €20 once it's out. If you order the record now, it will help us to cover manufacturing costs and to bring the release into existence at the time for the projected release date at the beginning of August.  <iframe width="100%" height="350" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" allow="autoplay" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1821016461&color=%23ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true"></iframe><div style="font-size: 10px; color: #cccccc;line-break: anywhere;word-break: normal;overflow: hidden;white-space: nowrap;text-overflow: ellipsis; font-family: Interstate,Lucida Grande,Lucida Sans Unicode,Lucida Sans,Garuda,Verdana,Tahoma,sans-serif;font-weight: 100;"><a href="https://soundcloud.com/praxisrecords" title="Praxis Records" target="_blank" style="color: #cccccc; text-decoration: none;">Praxis Records</a> · <a href="https://soundcloud.com/praxisrecords/sets/nomex-paroxism-ep" title="Nomex: Paroxism EP (Praxis 60, Work in Progress)" target="_blank" style="color: #cccccc; text-decoration: none;">Nomex: Paroxism EP (Praxis 60, Work in Progress)</a></div> If you wish to help us move ahead with this and other releases, consider supporting our 2024 Vinyl Fundraiser campaign on Gofundme HERE IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are already a SUPER-SUBSCRIBER you will receive one copy of this release as part of your subscription. Bourbonese Qualk: Knee Jerk Reaction EP White Label prerelease 1992
Bourbonese Qualk: Knee Jerk Reaction EP White Label prerelease 1992

This is a copy in excellent condition of the limited "DJ Promo" pre-release of the second Praxis record. Hand stamped white labels. Summer 1992! Important note: On some turntables the track Take Control may jump. This is in the pressing and is hence the case for all copies of this pressing. As a consequence the record was re-cut at the time (1992) and the release copies (with labels) have a slightly different sound (and don't jump on the A2 track). We're offering this from the Praxis archives "as is". Besides the pressing flaw (which may not be evident, depending on your turntable), the record is in excellent condition. Comes in the original Praxis label sleeve from 1992. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/videoseries?si=9uXgGOjCOXAC6wPa&amp;list=PLB50SGP_xxZ2fM6aPewu6-2g1qwTg-X8u" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe>
