This collaborative release has its origins in a joint performance which took place in a shady pub in London, according to Carlos. Recordings have since been exchanged and reworked, and finalised when the two played together again in Oslo last year. Based in Berlin and London, Joke Lanz toils ceaselessly to create new sounds. He crafts an abrupt musique concrète, a bewildering edifice of no-fi electronics, turntables, and unexpected and disorientating sound sources. Since 1986 he has appeared under a variety of guises, including Schimpfluch-Gruppe, Schnäbi Gaggi Pissi Gaggi, WAL, Catholic Boys in Heavy Leather, Opposite Opponents, and the ubiquitous Sudden Infant. Carlos Giffoni is a Venezuelan artist based in New York. His compositions utilise analogue and digital synthesis, modular manipulation, feedback systems, and rewired electronic instruments. He is a prolific performer, appearing with Thurston Moore, Jim ORourke, Kid 606, Merzbow and Smegma, amongst many others. Carlos is the curator of the annual experimental music No Fun Fest in Brooklyn, and also a member of no wave/noise/ rock trio Monotract.

Radio free robots (RFR) is a radio show entirely conducted by robots (spoken through synthetized voices). The moderator, Macha, runs a set of highly selected guests (robots). Robots specialists but also the everyone robot are discussing topics as diverse as robots' sociology, cyber terrorism, computer linguistic, bio-computing, the place og human being within society, the weather, autonomous objects... The radioshow being located in an undefined future, the topics are debated on a prospective or historical point of view ; meaning that the era where the show takes place allows a historical sight over the contemporary topicality and as well anticipates a future of the future. The name Radio Free Robots refers cynically to the infamous US propaganda program fomented by the CIA : Radio Free Europe.

Single sided new work by Cindytalk with the other side of the 10" silkscreened. Strictly limited to 500 copies copy from collection, rarely played - a little bit of surface wear either from storage or possibly caused when the other side of the record was hand-printed (?). /The first release in 2013 comes from Kyoto based artist Katsunori Sawa. Sawa is one half of japanese duo Steven Porter (the other half being Yuji Kondo), who made an appearance on the label in late 2011 with the "LR EP". "The Two Legs EP" continues pretty much where the duo's earlier outing left us sound wise. Sawa's very own take on the mid tempo spectrum results in four tracks that, regardless of their obvious focus on rhythmic repetition, appear either internally unstable and arduosly brought under control or both brutal and fragile at the same time. When Mei Zhiyong and Dave Phillips first met in Beijing in July 2014, Mei spoke not a word of English and dp not a word of Chinese. And they we were to embark on an 18 city tour together. Verbal communication between Mei and dp was obviously difficult to say the least. It would often result in comical misunderstandings, total puzzlement or bewilderment, but it would also be a source of constant amusement with wonderful moments of instinctive trust. But then there is sound, the ultimate language… To return the favor, dp arranged a tour for Mei and himself in October 2015 through 20 European cities. Which is where the source material was recorded. dp then selected, dissected and transformed those recordings to work out something different, not just a collaboration, not just an amalgam of two styles, but something new for both. The compositions on this LP are the result.

label info: dp's new album picks up where 'rise' (2017) left off, politically charged, hyperreal and unremitting soundscapes containing harsh social and self-criticism clad in a sense of impending doom spiced with an energizing optimism and informed by faith in the humanimal. a poignant reminder of humanity's position on this planet, the tension on this album is expressed solely through sound and 'lyrics' (as opposed to the extensive liner-notes that accompanied 'rise'), impliying a necessary shift from a rationalised perception of life to one of a sentient, a part of a whole, as suggested in dp's 'humanimalism' concept. sound sources/instruments include voice, body sounds, field recordings, cello, violin, piano, electric bass, live performance recordings and dp's organically growing bank of “hitting” sounds culled from recordings of whips, punches, slaps, smacks, slamming doors & windows, hammered chairs and tables and objects flying about and breaking. a careful playfulness with rhythmical structures, as hinted at on 'rise', is further pursued.
