Who we are:
Praxis is a label dedicated to experimental hardcore and radical breaks which was founded in 1992 in London. The first two 12" records came out at the end of that year, the Scaremonger EP and 'Knee-Jerk Reaction' by Bourbonese Qualk. These contributed to and commented on the rising techno and rave scene, coming from a background of experimental post punk and industrial music. Soon the label expanded and explored experimental hardcore, electronic weirdness, breakcore, speedcore and noise.
Since then there has been a steady stream of releases and activities, which we continue today and into the future from our base in Berlin. We have many many plans for this year, for releases as well as live events, as well as for publishing activities that go well beyond those of a 'record label'.
This shop is the primary outlet for traditional-format releases by the label, its associates and the wider network we are involved with as well as other items and productions of experimental electronic music and radical literature. This includes many exclusive titles and limited editions.
To find out more about the label's history, check out the 10th episode of The Molehill Report on our YouTube channel 'Noise & Politics' (click on the image below)
If you are a reseller (record store, book shop, online store, distributor etc.) please open a company account. We will then activate your B2B merchant account.

Nucleoroto includes in his army sound artists, musicians, graphic deconstructors, audio designers and dj's from Mexico, Venezuela, California, Chile and Brasil. This collaborative release has its origins in a joint performance which took place in a shady pub in London, according to Carlos. Recordings have since been exchanged and reworked, and finalised when the two played together again in Oslo last year. Based in Berlin and London, Joke Lanz toils ceaselessly to create new sounds. He crafts an abrupt musique concrète, a bewildering edifice of no-fi electronics, turntables, and unexpected and disorientating sound sources. Since 1986 he has appeared under a variety of guises, including Schimpfluch-Gruppe, Schnäbi Gaggi Pissi Gaggi, WAL, Catholic Boys in Heavy Leather, Opposite Opponents, and the ubiquitous Sudden Infant. Carlos Giffoni is a Venezuelan artist based in New York. His compositions utilise analogue and digital synthesis, modular manipulation, feedback systems, and rewired electronic instruments. He is a prolific performer, appearing with Thurston Moore, Jim ORourke, Kid 606, Merzbow and Smegma, amongst many others. Carlos is the curator of the annual experimental music No Fun Fest in Brooklyn, and also a member of no wave/noise/ rock trio Monotract.

Once again, Krumble propose an Absolute kill-sound records dedicated to the dancefloor !!! Return Of The Amen Spamer, is one of his most accomplished records ! The Discobreaker digs deep into the same vein that produced the awesome 'My Funny Dead Cats' 12" in 2005, specifically an Hard-Steppin Heavy Ragga Core Artillery and an ear for defined drum and bass production aesthetics. Killer fresh mashup material !!!

EVEN LOWER PRICE! Seven Samurai continues with its mission of melding the most intense sound elements of different genres together in the compilation EP “Amalgam”. The record starts off with slamming beats and dark synth signatures in the track “Fuck You” produced in 1999 by Disruptor of the Mortal Bass Crew in London. Noize Punishment pushes the intensity further in his remix of Schizoid in “Nihilusion” – an immediate crescendo of hard hitting beats, distorted vocals, and punk rhythms. On the flipside is Ashtar-DXD – a dynamic remix of the track “Black Minded Girl” originally performed by the Dresden band Todi. “Desolation Coax” by label-founder Fobia finishes off the record through a harsh experiment of breaks and melodies – a musical indictment against alienation and the rampant abuse of power that restricts creativity and curtails the fulfillment of basic human needs. The “Amalgam EP” expands musical boundaries through a compilation of four extreme dance-floor tracks.

Radio free robots (RFR) is a radio show entirely conducted by robots (spoken through synthetized voices). The moderator, Macha, runs a set of highly selected guests (robots). Robots specialists but also the everyone robot are discussing topics as diverse as robots' sociology, cyber terrorism, computer linguistic, bio-computing, the place og human being within society, the weather, autonomous objects... The radioshow being located in an undefined future, the topics are debated on a prospective or historical point of view ; meaning that the era where the show takes place allows a historical sight over the contemporary topicality and as well anticipates a future of the future. The name Radio Free Robots refers cynically to the infamous US propaganda program fomented by the CIA : Radio Free Europe.

The very talented Belfast based musician composes a variety of leftfield styles such as Jungle, Dubstep, Electro(nica) and Acousmatic. Here he comes with a massive 4 tracker, laid back and chilled out but very energetic with it‘s rollin‘ breaks, good amounts of sub and a strong dubstep vibe on the flip side.

The vinyl version of the Noizetek compilation feat. A1 Hypnoskull : Advanced Bionic Muthafuckaz Hate Using Guns (But Make An Exception In Your Case) A2 Spitting Vitriol : Still Born B1 Ebola : Burke And Hare B2 John Pooley : Armour Plated B3 Dirty Husband : Mangina

Detroit's From the Gut and San Francisco's Slow Leak Records (a relative of the 5lowershop Soundsystem) team up on a new 7" breakcore series. The first release presents a hard hitting, synical yet humorous track from Selector Catalogue alongside a more experimentaly textured rocker from Heartworm. In what promises to be an exciting collaboration, Massive Support aims to celebrates new vectors in the American breakcore underground.

Kicking off the Void Tactical Media subproject, Detroit's Split Horizon and JSTAT bring 2 tracks each of hard electro broken beats. Worked extensively in live performances over the past year, these tracks are presented here in finalized yet versatile forms with a focus on heavy playability and mixing. Combining elements of noise, techno, and electro Void Tactical Media rocks the soundsystem with a strong statement for the intertwining of ideas and music.

"A mind trip through devilish labyrinths of a myriad of sound constructions!" Vile Enginez, hailing for Basel, CH, produced his most innovative and complex record yet . Taking up the Sub/Version project of twisting drum n bass and smashing up whatever has become standard for the genre, Vile Enginez bizarre creation clearly demonstrates his masterful production and technical skills. “Cycadelic” might be best described as creating the feeling of a black magic trip spurned on by female power gone mad – this is a track that will push everyone on the dance floor to extremes. “Tool” works perfectly with the dynamic of “Cycadelic” making a forceful totality of this 12” (played at 33 rpm). Hard-hitting beats, crazed ambiences, distorted full powered bass and rhythmic complexities abound ! <iframe width="100%" height="450" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" allow="autoplay" src="https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/playlists/1342981534&color=%23ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true"></iframe><div style="font-size: 10px; color: #cccccc;line-break: anywhere;word-break: normal;overflow: hidden;white-space: nowrap;text-overflow: ellipsis; font-family: Interstate,Lucida Grande,Lucida Sans Unicode,Lucida Sans,Garuda,Verdana,Tahoma,sans-serif;font-weight: 100;"><a href="https://soundcloud.com/praxisrecords" title="Praxis Records" target="_blank" style="color: #cccccc; text-decoration: none;">Praxis Records</a> · <a href="https://soundcloud.com/praxisrecords/sets/vile-enginez-cycadelic-tool" title="Vile Enginez: Cycadelic/Tool" target="_blank" style="color: #cccccc; text-decoration: none;">Vile Enginez: Cycadelic/Tool</a></div> A - Cycadelic (7:36) B - Tool (8:03)
