after four years and istari lasterfahrers last mini-lp from 2014 he is now back on the dubcore series with four tracks.starting up with percussive synth clonks “extasy” jumps right into polyrythmic territory. from the exodus to extasy transformed a stuttering vocal sample and suddenly the euphoria kicks in and there we go hooked on a house piano progression that let’s into high tension rave mayham. “pressure” following up blends from footwork into hardcore jungle, we keeped locked-on in hanging patterns of breaks.flipside starts dubby with “riddance”, a dark jazzdub track with a rolling bass line and hickuped vocal samples. disjunced percussions from the echochamber and wild feedback synth explosions. “doubt & dispair” brings us back outside on the street, darkstyle tune of the more experimental corner. harsh springreverb thunders and filered breaks fighting for clear spaces.limited to 300 copies and running on 33,3 rpm. master cut by lxc from watta sound.

SUMONE is back with his second release on Sprengstoff Recordings. Leaving the Ragga Jungle behind he is focusing now on the dark side of the jungle. Time-stretched vocals meet melancholic synth pads on Side A "Making the best of a bad situation". The second side of the record creates with "Zombie" a spooky atmosphere with a bell sound playing a frightening melody straight from a 1950s horror movie. It´s midnight on the dancefloor of the undead! Avoiding the classical trap of Post-Jungle trying to imitate clean and overproduced Drum´n Bass, SUMONE keeps the production dirty and the drum sounds pretty rough. The sounds on this record breath the air of parties in dark, narrow basements. But you still can hear the Jungle origins in the beat programming. The beats are full of frenetic, fevered energy pushing the tracks forward with their constantly changing structures. These advanced drum edits deconstruct the original sequences of the breakbeats. On the other hand the Amen break is not in the center of the tracks any more. No longer Jungle, but still not Drum´n Bass – SUMONE left the old style categories to experiment with new musical elements. Most noticeably it is the use of atmospheric sounds that can also be found in progressive Dubstep productions like the ones from INNASEKT. His previous vinyl collaborations, with production partner Mez, have included trips to Jamaica, Columbia and London, UK, as well as catching the world's fastest MC on the mic: Daddy Freddy.
For his 5th release on Tricky Tunes, Tricky D recorded Bongo Chili and Soultrain, as they went to head-to-head on the A Side's "Badman". The flip shows Tricky D's penchant for remixing as he re-work's Mungos Hi-Fi's "Wickidness" featuring Brother Culture.

Label info: Dubcore Volume 20 is another Istari Lasterfahrer release. dropping four tunes starting up with a more dub then jungle track “bridge over gibraltar”, strictly echoing and bass. “waanya” second on the a side goes into heavy amen breaks and massiv dancehall basslines. on the flipside the speed goes up from previously 160/162 bpm to 174bpm with the soundclash mashup tune “pee pee a fi dubplate” with warping subs, filteramens and melanged on top with uptempo footwork riddims. last tune “mr. white” drops back to 162 bpm and dubwize basslines and idm jungle breaks.

Originally released in 1994 on Weird Beard (!) records. Written and produced by Martin Damm! Indeed, when it was first released in digital format in 2013 it was credited to Biochip C., this vinyl rerelease however re-credits the EP back to the original pseudonym Headware.
