Ryuji Takeuchi:Making a return to Pure Hate after his infamous ‘Essentials EP’ on PH002, Ryuji Takeuchi is renowned for his driving, hypnotic, atmospheric, raw, emotional interpretation of Techno. he has released on some key labels over the years including Inner Surface Music, LK Rec, Arms, Clan Destine Records, Infidel Bodies, Instruments Of Discipline, Depth. Request, his own LSN & Hue Helix imprints and more recently Dax J’s Monnom Black.Gaja:Once locked into the throes of Berlin’s ceaseless techno throb and now back home in Albenga, Italy, Gaja represents the gnarly, noisy extremity of modern dance music. It’s a desolate, distorted place where blasts of noise spit in the empty footprints once shaped by snares and hi-hats, and the bass bleeds out over everything. Having recently released his debut album ‘Morning Fist’ on his own Ophism imprint, Gaja makes his Pure Hate debut in style with track ‘Hangman’.Swarm Intelligence:From rhythmic noise to the brutal and bleak constitute a distinctive sound that Simon Hayes has been honing for more than a decade under his Swarm Intelligence guise. Having remixed MDD on PH003 The Dublin-born artist has cemented his place in the Techno underground with critically acclaimed LPs and EPs on labels like 47, Instruments of Discipline and Voitax plus standout sets at clubs like Berghain and Basement NY. Simon also recently launched his own self titled vinyl imprint Swarm Intelligence as a platform to explore his own imaginings of futuristic industrial music.STRISC.:Last but not least and rounding the record off in his trademark brutal style, label head STRISC. finally makes his anticipated debut on Pure Hate with track ‘Melt Pit’.

Lamin Fofana: Here Lies Universality
Lamin Fofana: Here Lies Universality

The Sierra Leonean producer Lamin Fofana arrives on the label with Here Lies Universality, a brace of undulating sound design explorations – in equal parts tense and meditative; thorny and worked smooth. Label info: Lamin Fofana debuts on Avian. Despite the beatless nature of the compositions, Lamin Fafona’swork is imbued with the spirit of Detroit’s pioneering Techno experimentalists. As such, it is Ambient music that does not exist as a peripheral flavor to color the listeners own experience, but rather as a vehicle for expression that requires attention and observation. The artist uses sound as a vehicle to examine the historical movement – forced or otherwise, of Black people across the globe, and how this movement feeds into inequitable contemporary socio-political and economic power dynamics. Fofana explains that this latest missive, ‘rubs against liberal universalism and reflects on how the pandemic exacerbates existing contradictions and violence significantly and puts them in high relief.’ Opener Here Lies Universality, with its warbling, crystalline lead-synths and pitch-bent tonal interjections offers an introduction to this latest deep-sea rumination. Made at once near with layers of surface noise, but simultaneously fathoms deep thanks to delicate pulses in the low frequencies, it builds gently before subsiding purposefully but without resolution. Split subtly into three movements, follow up Bankrupt Utopia Sez Tell Me begins life with a rousing lead sequence that approaches crescendo before dissipating with washes of heavy modulation. The recording continues with a more conversational tone and that heavy surface noise returns once more to the fore, driving the work and providing a satisfying level of sonic intricacy. Finally, the piece segues into a soft, almost mournful reflection in its closing minutes. On the B1 the artist shares Here Lies Universality Redux, an alternative iteration of the title track. Soft and mediative in its early moments, the recording leaves its synth work behind near the mid-point and morphs into a dense matrix of aquatic sound design and field recording. Measure of Memory/ I Stagger and Remember continues to mine the Drexiyan palette to create a patchwork of shifting, granular sound architecture. Glistening in the high frequencies with timbral plucks and knocks giving the work a shape of sorts, there’s a palpable – almost unnerving, sense of movement throughout. Resounding Water closes the EP, an echo of Here Lies Universality Redux’s latter stages – but also a bookend, returning the listener to the depths after the glowing reverie that preceded.

Flaminia: 47033
Flaminia: 47033

Label info: Flaminia’s first solo release on 47 features four mesmerizing techno rollers. London-based artist Flaminia makes her solo 47 debut with four sophisticated techno tracks that perfectly balance brooding intensity with dreamlike atmospherics. A producer with EPs on Samurai Music, VSK Series and her own label, Metempsychosis Records, Flaminia builds on her canon of previous work with 47033, adding to the label roster’s growing arsenal of expertly honed dance floor releases. On the A-side, two four-to-the floor heavyweights—”Pure” and “Burn Loudly”—offset bone-shaking kicks with plangent melodies that make these tracks uplifting despite their ferocity. The B-side takes a darker turn; “Back To Zero” is an icy broken beat that shines in its stuttering rhythmic complexity, while the closer, “Dissolved,” is just as foreboding: synths scrape and shatter like shards of glass against a spare and crunchy kick while Flaminia’s voice reverberates in the background. The entire package will be 47033 by Flaminia

Celsius: 1992
Celsius: 1992

Before making his name in industrial hardcore, Celsius was a jungle DJ and MC. Born and raised in Switzerland to an English family, he would spend every summer in the UK as a teenager, soaking up the emerging sounds of UK rave, collecting jungle and happy hardcore records, and recording mixtapes from UK pirate radio stations. This was 1992, the year zero for Celsius. Performing as DJ Celsius as early as 1993, he became one of Switzerland's first jungle DJs, playing and hosting mostly illegal raves in Lausanne – all before the age of 18. Turntablism and MCing soon followed. Celsius' earliest productions featured samples of old hardcore tapes from the UK and the Netherlands. Now, 30 years and several musical identities later, Celsius is circling back to his roots with 1992: a breakbeat rave concept album exploring the the genesis of hardcore, written with '90s analog recording equipment for that genuine time capsule experience. No nostalgia, just pure Ardkore Vibes! 1992 by Celsius

During the digital monsoon season, the Domestic Arapaima emits a cry that sounds violent and harmonious, halting and rhythmic, fluid and random. Domestic Arapaima’s sound blends hardcore and folk, ballroom dancing and heavy metal, EDM and prog, opera and jungle, all connected by a massive use of the Amen Break. Soreab: Sensitivity 6.0
Soreab: Sensitivity 6.0

LABEL INFO: Soreab debuts on Avian.Dario Picchi, whose repertoire includes forays into Dancehall, Bass Music and genres less easily classified, alongside a spate of intriguing collaborations, keeps things sparse on Sensitivity 6.0. The six track EP offers up idiosyncratic takes on IDM, Techno and Ambient music with a focus on intricate sound design, showcasing the Baroque Sunburst label head’s admirable versatility as a producer.Brazen opener Squirrel Stampede might surprise listeners expecting a more delicate approach from the EP title. Neatly layered and economic in its execution, it’s a forceful slice of modern Techno. Meditative follow up Trub marries a thick, undulating percussion line with a saccharine melody. Loose synths emerge sporadically from the sonic periphery, breaking up the rolling drum pattern to create a cinematic atmosphere. Closing out the A side is Giale Draws, an intriguing beatless piece with nods to both vintage Musique concrète and more contemporary compositions from the electronic music leftfield. On the B side, Soreab ups the tempo and goes fathoms deep with the cavernous Dust Eater. Landing somewhere between Autonomic Drum & Bass and Dub Techno, it sets the tone for the dense, atmospheric march of Insomnias that follows. Letting well-worked drums lead the recording, Picchi introduces Rhodes and a low-sunk synth flourish to create a crisp, hazy atmosphere. Rite closes the EP, a glistening Ambient recording with subtle percussive motifs and delayed vocals that sit atop hypnotic pads – a wide-open, ethereal closing statement. Sensitivity 6.0 by Soreab

Verset Zero: Kerygma
Verset Zero: Kerygma

Label info: The fruits of over a year of work, Verset Zero’s album “Kerygma” will be released on the 24th November. A symbol of distant chaos, fratricidal wars, religious dogma and pure violence this concept album strangely echoes our current, dark period. An homage to the uncertain and evil future we blindly head to.
′′Kerygma′′ symbolizes Verset Zero’s desire to move away from the traditional electronic music of his beginnings toward a universe influenced, according to his words by noise, doom, pagan and black metal; Emperor, Windir, Sunn O))), The Body, Full of Hell, Amenra, & Neurosis. Artist statement:
“This concept album is the most personal production I’ve ever composed. The key between my past and my future. The major link of my artistic evolution now definitely entering a Post-Metal sound.
The pandemic’s destructive effect on the live-performance aspect of music inspired me to create a sonic and visual experience, halfway between ritual and procession.
Hail.” Kerygma by Verset Zero

P/O Massacre + Alex Buess & Merzbow: Aural Corrosion
P/O Massacre + Alex Buess & Merzbow: Aural Corrosion

2 years after their debut album on Utech Records, P/O MASSACRE goes deeper in their immersive noise experimentation in this collaboration album with Alex Buess, and Merzbow (Masami Akita 秋田昌美). An architecture of distortion, Moog processors, spring reverb, drone effects and more, then developed in different directions by two electronic/noise veterans. It’s a journey of pure sensation, destruction, and rebirth. A skull-vibrating sound decomposition to your face. For this very reason of searching the limit of frequency and sound structure, we’ve decided to make this album as double 45 rpm vinyl, for a maximum aural experience, cut for vinyl by Frédéric Alstadt at Mont Analogue Masters. As he says: “it’s the cut of the uncuttable”. The visual design and layout are taken care of by the Taiwanese noise builder Chia-Chun Xu (Karma Detonation Tapes), with the artwork from the film destroying artist Tseng Peng-Chieh. Heavy gatefold sleeve, with obi and a bonus CD which includes an exclusive track “Nonslaught” from the same recording session by P/O MASSACRE only. Double album available in two versions: Black vinyl and a colour vinyl edition with one record in marbled green and one in marbled rusty vinyl. Aural Corrosion_(S|S Main003/WV082)_Released in collaboration S|S + WVSorcerer by P/O Massacre+Alex Buess+Merzbow

Coil: Constant Shallowness Leads to Evil
Coil: Constant Shallowness Leads to Evil

Transparent green vinyl version in stock. Label info: The first-ever official vinyl edition, completely remastered by Josh Bonati. The turn of the millennium ushered in an apex visionary phase for English esoteric duo Coil. Relocating from the city to the coastal quiet of Weston-super-Mare freed them to follow even more fringe obsessions, fully untethered from peer influence. During a single six-month stretch in 2000 they released the devious underworld sequel to Music To Play In The Dark, arcane drone summit Queens Of The Circulating Library, and a malevolent hour-long synthesizer exorcism prophetically titled Constant Shallowness Leads To Evil. This latter work remains one of the group’s most miasmic and mind-expanding creations, on par with Time Machines – a sustained divination of shuddering, psychoactive noise, rippling with the motion sickness of an all-seeing eye. Thighpaulsandra characterizes the album as “an exercise in brutality,” born from a thorny patch of his Serge modular unit that Peter “Sleazy” Christopherson found entrancing. Processing this sliver of electronics into a ravaged labyrinth was a trial and error process, aided by Christopherson’s visual sense of sound, stretching and manipulating it for maximum spatial disorientating. Frequencies nauseously crawl across the stereo field, burrowing into the ear like a sinister brainwashing experiment. An outlier / centerpiece is the 13-minute alien tribalist sea shanty, “I Am The Green Child,” guided by John Balance’s sung-spoken free verse concerning vengeance, oblivion, and insanity, culminating in the memorable refrain, “We're swimming in a sea of occidental vomit.” But the rest of the record seethes in unhinged instrumental chaos, divided into 18 micro-movements of a composition called “Tunnel Of Goats.” Intended to scramble the functionality of a CD player’s shuffle mode, the piece throbs, thrashes, and flatlines in compressed frenzies of twisted synthesis, at the threshold of some bottomless purgatory, forbidding and unknown.
