Rare & good mixture of hardtek and hardcore from Cavage. One of the last releases by Saoulaterre that is still available. NDE was one of those Cavage offshoot labels with just one release. All of them are definitely worth seeking out! Note that the snippets might not be in the right order. 

After killing her father who had attempted to rape her, Maria da Guerra is sentenced to prison for life. The wardress is a sadistic lesbian without mercy or humanity. Upon her arrival Maria is taken to a special section for mentally disturbed prisoners where torture, rape and bestial violence are part of the day-to-day reality. One day the Regional Governor arrives, claiming to have received a letter from one of the prisoners describing incredible events in the prison. The writer of the letter was clearly unaware that the Governor is also part of the conspiracy. Carlos Costa, a male nurse pretending to be the prison doctor Moore, falls in love with Maria. After seducing him, Maria kills him with a pair of scissors and escapes with her friends Bertha and the disturbed Rosario, hoping to find safety in the Governor’s house, unaware that he will of course not help them... Mature audiences only!

'Drumtrax' by 'DJ Jackal' is a classic release from the early teknival days, a multiple name concept that was seeking to push the facelessness of underground techno further - this particular disc was recorded on the dodgiest equipment around the Elephant and Castle area in slightly precarious circumstances. It collects 5 tracks of hard experimental acidic hardcore tekno shit - you know the score! this record was released in 2 different editions, the first being a coloured vinyl one with no additional infos - the second (and it's a copy of this second edition that we're selling here) on black vinyl. Mitte der 1950er Jahre entstand die Situationistische Internationale (S.I.), die frühzeitig einiges von dem theoretisch vorwegnahm, was später praktisch die 1968er-Bewegung kennzeichnen sollte: Eine radikal-moderne Infragestellung der kapitalistischen Gesellschaft. In den drei Jahren vor ihrer Auflösung 1972 sollte die S.I. wiederum zur schärfsten Kritikerin der Kurzatmigkeit jener Bewegung werden. Waren die SituationistInnen ursprünglich künstlerisch tätig, lösten sie sich von der Beschränkung auf diese Sphäre, weil sie eine «Verwirklichung der Kunst» nur im Umsturz der Gesamtheit der Verhältnisse für möglich sahen. Beeinflußt von Henri Lefèbvres «Kritik des Alltagslebens», von Dadaismus und Surrealismus unterzogen sie das Marxsche Werk, insbesondere die Frühschriften, einer intensiven Relektüre, die sie gegen alle damals vorherrschenden Staatssozialismen in Anschlag brachten: Entfremdung sei nicht in entfremdeten Formen zu bekämpfen. Die totalitäre Welt der Ware bringe selbst die Möglichkeit ihrer Überwindung mit sich, da sie bei ihren ProduzentInnen radikale, moderne Bedürfnisse erzeuge, die es aufzuspüren und in ihrer Sprengkraft gegen die kapitalistischen Produktionsverhältnisse scharf zu machen gilt. Im Gegensatz zum überkommenen Arbeiterbewegungsmarxismus verstand sich die S.I. nicht als Avantgarde oder Repräsentation, sondern als ein Kollektiv von ExperimentatorInnen, welches die Menschen dazu anregen sollte, die versteinerten, verkehrten und entfremdeten Alltagssituationen durch eine Bewegung bewusster «Konstruktion von Situationen» in Richtung der gesamtgesellschaftlich geschichtlichen Aktion aufzusprengen. So sollten festgefahrene, als selbstverständlich geltende Praxisformen und Sichtweisen irritiert und aufgebrochen werden, um die darunterliegenden Strukturen und Gesetzmäßigkeiten zu Tage zu befördern, die dadurch bewusst gemacht werden und in eine aufhebende Bewegung münden sollten: der Abschaffung von Ware, Geld, Kapital und Staat und die Aufhebung dieser Verhältnisse in eine menschenwürdige, bedürfnisorientierte und geschichtlich bewusste Produktion und Verteilung. Zu den bekannteren TheoretikerInnen der Situationistischen Internationale zählen Raoul Vaneigem (*1934) und Guy Debord (1931-1994). Vor allem dessen Buch «Die Gesellschaft des Spektakels» war für den Mai 1968 in Paris keineswegs unbedeutend und wird heute wieder vermehrt rezipiert. Aktuell finden aus ihrem Zusammenhang gerissene Texte der SituationistInnen in der Anti-Globalisierungsbewegung aber auch im Kunst- und Architekturbetrieb unverkennbar Anklang. Vor diesem Hintergrund versucht das Buch Grundzüge, Postulate und Quellen der situationistischen Revolutionstheorie in ihrem Gesamtzusammenhang dar- und klarzustellen, nicht ohne deren «blinde Flecken» aufzuzeigen.

on this cd, synapscape's astonishing rhythm skills are perfectly displayed. keeping the beat straight but always changing the patterns throughout a track. when a track starts you might think you know how it will proceed, but while listening you will end up being surprised. there is a permanent change - without any real interference. the album could also be described as an 'attack on expectations' - sequencers and electronic percussion replace the expected bass drum; in a heavily distorted 4/4 track a techno-like 5th-chord is embedded; crystal clear drum strokes replace distorted beats; - those 'attacks' are the sparks of the burning flow. the variety of sound is evident in the ambient tracks like 'kollberg' and 'sellout', the hard 4/4-beat-ers like 'the hoe' and 'katunga' (which lean heavily toward the distorted dance floor) and the live-killer-tracks ('wings' and 'alice') which may be well-known to synapscape addicts. but act!'s general mood is what makes this cd a real album and not just a compilation of new tracks. this album is nothing less than an improvement and a logical progression of synapscape's conceptual work. the act! is done.
